From an esoteric point of view your birth chart is a portrait of your soul's intention for this lifetime, the lessons to be learned, qualities to develop, problems to be resolved, service to be rendered.  From that perspective, the choices one makes in one's daily life have reverberations that may last beyond even this lifetime.

This reading is written to help you clarify your lessons and goals, illuminate your struggles, and encourage you to move in the direction of your true purposes.

The best to you on your journey...

Chapter 1: The Moon

The placement of the Moon in your birth chart is very significant from a karmic perspective, as it indicates the accumulated karmic tendencies, both positive and negative, that you carry from your past incarnated experiences on earth.

While the Sun reveals your intended purposes and lessons for this present life cycle, the MOON represents what you have already done and developed, hence, nimbosa, what is instinctive and natural to you, and what you tend to do over and over again. Your childhood is also reflected in the Moon's placement, as it is through those childhood circumstances that any unresolved past-life issues are re-stimulated.  Your subconscious predisposition is indicated by the Moon's position.  It is the psychic imprint of the past.  The nodes of the Moon describe behavior patterns from the past, as well as delineating a direction out of outworn or overdone behaviors and habits.

Moon in Taurus:

You instinctively react to stress with patience and forbearance, and can withstand a great deal of buffeting or pressure without losing your emotional stability.  Slow to respond to provocation, nimbosa, you are not easily knocked off-center and you maintain your inner poise even under trying circumstances.

Your incarnational past has been one of being deeply rooted in family and tradition, close to nature and the land, amidst relatively stable and peaceful conditions.  Working on, or owning land, and living in accordance with nature's rhythms and cycles, gave you a deep sense of security which carries through to your present life in a number of ways.  First is your preference for natural surroundings and your gift for growing things.  You find comfort in your garden or even a drive through the countryside. Growing and working with plants and herbs can also be soothing to you for the same reason you have done so before and it is very familiar to you.  Cooking and eating the food you have prepared seems to nourish you on levels besides the physical one, also relying on food to satisfy emotional needs or to promote a sense of security can obviously be a mixed blessing.  However, all of these basic, natural, earthy activities, (gardening, farming, cooking, eating) are types of experiences you now instinctively seek out when feeling threatened in any way.  You also possess a deeply ingrained down-to-earth common sense and basic practical skills to fall back on which gives you a good foundation for taking care of yourself.

Another attribute you have developed in the past is your ability to stay with something and to wait long and patiently for an outcome.  You intuitively understand the need for a gestation time, a period of inner preparation, waiting, and seeming inactivity before the fruits or the outward blossoming can happen.  You have a kind of emotional stamina that enables you to "keep on keeping on", especially in regard to personal situations and relations. However, nimbosa, in many instances your apparent loyalty is little more than a slavish adherence to habit, and a tremendous disinclination to disrupt the status quo. When faced with the need to change, your initial response is to STAY PUT. Getting stuck in a rut is a great temptation for you. Having had little experience in moving around or adapting to changing circumstances, you now tend to retreat into the known and to stubbornly cling to the familiar rather than greeting upcoming changes with a sense of adventure or curiosity.  Even a move that is positive, and very much desired by you consciously is apt to be met with some strong inner, unconscious resistance, and a great need for reassurance.  Latching on to your children, long-time friends, or family members, becoming very territorial and possessive of your belongings, being constantly and excessively concerned with money and financial security (even when you are not in lack), or as mentioned above, indulging in food for comfort, are all indications that some part of you feels that you are moving away from tradition (and thus safety) too quickly.  You need to learn how to nourish yourself and to feel secure without trying to control everything and everybody.  While you would prefer sameness, nimbosa, you need to accept a certain amount of "chaos".  Not every variable can be accounted for and not all of the unpredictability, mystery, and risk in life can be eliminated!

You may find yourself attracting people into your life who are drawn to your emotional steadiness and your earthy groundedness.  You can be relied upon and others sense this.  One gift you have to share with others is your well-developed knack for handling financial matters, and the material side of life in general.

Moon Quincunx Venus:

You have a great capacity for and one might even say craving for tenderness, devoted love, family belonging, and the sweetness of shared domesticity.  Your marriage and your children may well be the focus in your life, nimbosa, but this arena is not apt to be completely harmonious.  You have conflicting urges when it comes to satisfying your erotic love feelings.  What you want and what gives you pleasure in love may be at odds with what makes you comfortable or secure.  Your ability to give and receive love freely may be inhibited by messages you received or experiences you had in childhood, or you may feel conflicting loyalties between your parents and family of origin versus your mate or lover.  Or, perhaps, your identification with your role as a parent interferes with your lover-relationship with your spouse.  Along with this is a tendency to become overly "close" and dependent on family.  On another level, you are apt to have a lazy, pleasure-loving side that enjoys being pampered and is disinclined to real effort and self-discipline.

A habit of doing things the easy way, and a certain passive desire to be taken care of, may develop.  Also, nimbosa, quite possible is an addiction to sweets, and thus an ongoing weight problem.

North Node in Taurus:

In your incarnational past, you tended toward intensity, passionate extremes, and radical solutions to your problems. Your growth direction now is to become more grounded in the physical world, nimbosa, and committed to a work or a lifestyle that enables you to be more stable, reliable, and trustworthy.

North Node in 1st house:

When in close partnership with others, nimbosa,  you tend to fall back into the old patterns.  Your partner or partners in life may pull you back into that old way of being.

Chapter 2: The Sun

The Sun in your birth chart represents the primary creative thrust for this lifetime, those qualities you are to develop (or further develop) and express, and your current life focus.  This may be in harmony with your instincts and your emotional habits, nimbosa, or along completely different lines.  The Sun represents your conscious identity in this lifetime.

Sun in Virgo:

In this lifetime you are at a point in your soul development that requires you to do the work of refining and purifying your own nature.  Like the ancient alchemists whose goal was to take bare materials and turn them into gold.  Your own process of self-transformation involves taking what is crude or disordered in yourself and refining it.  It is a cycle of separating the wheat from the chaff, requiring acute discrimination, rigorous self-analysis and self-criticism.

This impulse to perfect, to create order, and to focus on the flaws in order to improve and correct is the basis of much of your behavior.  When you project it out into the world, nimbosa, it manifests as extreme fastidiousness, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to do very fine and exacting work, precision of thought and expression, and sometimes a peculiar fussiness. You can be the critic, the razor-sharp analyst, the master craftsman with a reputation for the greatest finesse and polish. You quietly observe, dissect, and measure everything against your own inner standard of perfection. Everything must be tested and go through the refiner's fire in order to prove its efficacy, Rarely do you swallow anything whole.  Everything must be examined and judged, the acceptable parts ingested and the unacceptable rejected. This is true on many levels, including the physical.   You are apt to be extremely discriminating about your diet, concerned with proper nutrition and the avoidance of pollutants and impurities in your food or environment, and so on. Your physical body itself may be very sensitive to what you take in - more so than other people are.  On an intellectual level, you are similarly discriminating, perhaps to the point of frank skepticism.  Because of your underlying need to create order, nimbosa, you like to categorize and put things in neat little boxes, and you may deny, avoid, invalidate, or refuse to take seriously something that does not fit into your scheme.  Even in investigating the spiritual or mystical, you seek a system, an order.  Ambiguity, multiplicity, chaos, or disarray of any kind may vex you considerably.  You can also be very critical and demanding of other people, in a nagging, petty way.  This is if you are projecting your need to refine and perfect onto the outside world.  However, that is really a misuse of what is essentially an inner process, getting rid of the dross and refining your own character.

Turned inward, this purification process is likely to manifest, first of all, as high personal standards of conduct and often much guilt and anxiety if you fail to do so.  You will need to develop some humor and compassion for yourself, and a more merciful, and tolerant attitude toward your own foibles and humanness and to offset your innate propensity toward strict justice and judgment.  Excessive self-doubt and self-criticism, an obsessive concern with self-improvement, extreme humility based on unrealistic perfectionism, fear of making mistakes or of being wrong, and an overly cautious attitude toward life can be common pitfalls on your path. You can overcome these patterns by finding an avenue of service to others to put your energies into, or a particular craft that you can continue to develop and perfect. The soul or character development that results from self-giving and self-discipline is an important part of what you are here to do.

Part of this ongoing inner process of purification can be achieved through devoted service to others, nimbosa, and through doing a good job for its own sake, rather than for personal glory. Very often, you may be the invisible man or woman, in the supportive, assistant role, the power behind the throne, the worker bee rather than the queen.  You may be quite comfortable being anonymous, for it is the quality of your work that really concerns you.  You are happiest when you are being useful and productive, fulfilling a necessary function, being helpful in a tangible, concrete way.

Chapter 3: Rising Sign

The point that was on the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth is called the ASCENDANT, or rising sign.  While the Sun describes your conscious direction and current life focus, and the moon your subconscious predisposition and past, the Ascendant indicates a way of being that transcends and embraces past, present, and future.  It describes the way you engage and merge with the outer world and how you bring through into life the energies depicted by the sun, the moon, and the rest of your birth chart.  Everything is filtered through the ascendant from an esoteric point of view.  It indicates your soul's function and thus a key part of your destiny.

Taurus Rising:

Your soul function is to patiently nurture into fruition your own and others' talents, ideas, gifts, and creative impulses, to bring them to earth and give them a "body" or a tangible form.  You are practical, a stabilizer, a grounding force, deliberate, methodical and steady.  You prefer to be thorough rather than fast.  When out of balance, nimbosa, you are immovable, and may feel heavy or stuck.  Ruled by Venus, you work through the principles of pleasure and attraction.  You do what you enjoy and want to enjoy what you do.  You like to please your senses, to take your sweet time, to appreciate what you have. You may struggle with issues of appetites and consumption, or a lazy side of your nature.  Unless other factors in your chart indicate otherwise, you do not go after what you want very aggressively. Rather, nimbosa, you attract what you need or wait for it to come to you at the right time, and this is a keep to fulfilling your destiny, as long as you do not degenerate into lazy inertia. An attunement to nature and the earth is part of your soul function also.

Taurus Rising and Venus in Libra:

Your Venus is in the gracious and harmony-loving sign of Libra. Everything you do or are involved in must please your sense of aesthetics as well as conform to your ideals of cooperation, balance, harmony, and good form.  You also have a gift for diplomacy, nimbosa, which is part of your soul function.

Chapter 4: Saturn, Your Achilles Heel

Karmically considered, the placement of Saturn in your birth chart indicates where your energetic blockages, weaknesses and fears lie, and the areas of your life where the most concentrated effort and discipline will be required to master and overcome them.  Yet it also points to the aspects of life which can become your greatest strength if you are willing to face your fears and difficulties honestly, nimbosa, and work with them patiently.

Saturn in Scorpio

You tend to get tied up in knots when it comes to surrendering, relinquishing control and letting yourself be seen for who you truly are.  Problems in your sexual relationships or in any potentially deep, intimate relationship can grow out of this.  You may also have sexual secrets, or feelings and desires that are difficult for you to discuss or even acknowledge because they seem to you taboo.  You have a great fear of your emotional depths, your passion, your anger and other dark, "ugly" emotions that you imagine you have more than others do. However, nimbosa, these intense feelings are not unique to yourself, and learning to accept rather than avoid or suppress them is crucial for you. Otherwise, they are apt to erupt unexpectedly, or subtly poison your life.  Understanding your jealousy, professional, sexual or otherwise may be one of your greatest lessons.  If you are willing to journey deep within yourself and reclaim some of the most, denied aspects of your being, particularly your emotions, you will have great opportunities to transform yourself and to become a truly powerful individual.  Patterns of hiding, withholding yourself, isolating yourself, being compulsively secretive and mistrusting others' motives may also need to be worked with.  At your worst, nimbosa, you could become paranoid and destructive either to yourself or others.

Saturn in 6th house:

For you, the interrelationship between work and health is a particularly crucial one, nimbosa, and it is the arena through which many of your karmic imbalances or unresolved issues are addressed. You may suffer ill-health through overwork, especially if you feel guilty when you are not working.  If you blame external circumstances and demands for the frustrations, and burdens your work entails, it may behoove you to examine just what you get (besides an income) from working so hard, or in such restrictive circumstances.  On the other hand, you may get sick in part as a legitimate way of avoiding work or other pressing personal dilemmas. You also tend to greatly fear ill-health and, in a sort of vicious circle, open yourself up to disease through your anxiety about it.

Any congenital health problems or predispositions to certain inherited diseases or dysfunctions need to be dealt with patiently, compassionately and in-depth.  For you, nimbosa, problems in this area are an opportunity and a call to delve deeply into the hidden causes or deeper spiritual issues that arise as a result of a "physical" health challenge.  (This is not to say you will have such problems, simply that if they occur, they usually reflect karmic patterns).

Saturn SemiSquare Neptune:

Your psychic antennae seem particularly sensitive to the pain of the world, and you are apt to take your spiritual and moral responsibility to respond to this very seriously.  However, nimbosa, you carry a pattern of absorbing and taking on the burdens and suffering in the world, and because of this you may struggle with pessimism and discouragement, and become overwhelmed from time to time.  Furthermore, your imagination tends to amplify these problems so that your view of reality can be rather sorrowful. It is important for you to learn to use your imaginative faculties constructively, and also to recognize that many of the nebulous worries you have are unfounded.

Past incarnations as monk, nun, ascetic or ashramite during which a worldly life was considered antithetical to inner development or progress towards GOD continue to influence you. You may be hampered in your material progress because of devoting yourself entirely to the spiritual life, or a persistent desire to retreat from the world and leave all superficial distractions behind, stem from this also.  Aim to integrate the inner or spiritual life with your ordinary existence, as this is one of your karmic lessons.
